this mixed-media work was created with both ultra-violet and phosphor pigments. the ultraviolet (UV)  pigments can not be seen without the aid of a UV light. the lines and shapes appear to be white. the phosphor pigments can be seen as a faint electric green or yellow normally. when exposed to UV light, new colors emerge from the UV pigments, and after having been exposed to the UV light, when all light is removed, the phosphor pigments radiate light on their own, appearing as a glow in the darkness. below are photographs of this work in different light environments. it is nothing like the 'real-thing,' but it will give you an idea of how it works.
